Comfort

While we continue to be excited by our son growing up and becoming more and more of a little independent boy each day, one area that he has recently exerted his independence has become quite a challenge. Up until the past couple months JGray showed little interest in how we dressed him, in turn we were able to put him in clothes that match, fit, and are appropriate for the season. Now that our son has an opinion on his attire all three of those conditions have been thrown out the window. It got me thinking, if our son was to have his own clothing line it would go something like this….

Comfort – By JGray

Tops – Never mind the season, long sleeve is always in. This year’s collection features a number of monster truck and dinosaur prints (although some monster trucks have been rejected for being too scary). Colors can vary day by day, but if a green shirt is available it will be worn regardless of what pants are chosen.

Bottoms – Elastic, Elastic, Elastic. As long as it has an elastic waist it is IN this year. While almost any elastic waist will do, sweatpants are by far preferable. Pants this season should not extend all the way to the floor, if they do it is preferable to roll them up to just above the ankle.

Socks – Socks may be any color but they have to match. They don’t have to match the other parts of the outfit (which don’t usually match to begin with), but have to match each other. For example one white and one red, no good. Two red socks with white dress shirt and grey sweatpants, good.

Shoes – Shoes are one place where you do not want to be constrained in the slightest. Snow boots are always preferable, but if you receive too much flack from your parents, throw on a pair of loafers that have dinosaurs on them. Any shoes with laces or Velcro closure should be immediately dismissed as ‘bad-guy’ shoes and forever banished to the shoe rack.

Pajamas – Much like the rest of the collection, Pajamas are long sleeve and include pajama pants (no shorts). Unlike the rest of the collection, pajamas must match. If they do not match you may feel welcome to wake a family member (preferably your mother) to inform her of the error and have it corrected (even if it happens to be 5 in the morning).
