16 1/2 Months Old!

I've been writing this post for weeks now, but I kept getting pulled away. We just got back from our annual trip to Chicago, so I decided to adjust the post and include some more current milestones. Delia has blossomed into a spunky, lively little girl. She is always on the go, but that's because she desperately wants to keep up with John Grayson.

At 16 1/2 months, Delia:
  • Finally got some top teeth and they are molars! She's still working on the front four, but it should be soon.
  • Loves to eat with a fork and spoon. It makes eating yogurt a lot easier, but also a lot messier.
  • Can climb in and out of chairs now without assistance. She loved climbing in and out of the rocking chair at Grandma and Grandpa's house.
  • Talks, a lot! She'll repeat what you say too, so it's funny to have "conversations" with her now. She was even able to say "Jacob" (her cousin's name) during our family visit.
  • Loves to snuggle and give hugs. She remains a Mommy's girl, although there are now times when she just wants a hug and kiss from her Daddy.
  • Gave up her morning nap and now takes 3 hour afternoon naps! She did a great job in Chicago of being flexible. She made it until almost 2pm on several occasions, which is impressive for a little girl who recently dropped her morning nap.
  • Has a favorite teddy bear that she takes everywhere. JGray gave her the bear for Christmas, but it wasn't until a few months ago that she latched onto it. It rode on the plane with us and even eats breakfast with her.
  • Learned how to climb down the stairs at Grandma and Grandpa's house. She held the railing and walked like a big girl. Luckily she only takes the stairs at home when she's holding Mommy's hand.
Here are some pictures of our sweet little lady:
