First Soccer Game

John Grayson started playing soccer this fall. His team is the Hawks and John is the head coach. There are 8 kids on the team. The age cut-off is 8/31 so John Grayson is one of the youngest players on the team. JGray loves wearing his cleats, shin guards, tall socks and jersey. As soon as we bought the cleats and shin guards, he insisted on "practicing" at least once a day so he could put on his gear.

The Hawks had a scrimmage last week and the first official game was today. They don't really keep score and there aren't any goalies. It took the kids a little while to get into the game, but JGray managed to score a goal! He was so proud of himself (and of course, Mommy, Daddy, Delia and MaMa were too)!

MaMa came along to help watch Delia so I could take pictures. Thank goodness because Delia isn't exactly the best cheerleader. MaMa gave her a pom pom but Delia spent more time running around than cheering.
